Sights / Optics: The front sight is an inverted “V” post set atop a ramped base. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked with 2 “eagle / 63” inspection stamps. The bottom metal is marked with a number that does not correlate to the serial number. The barrel shank is marked with a “10 98” date code and a few other proofs including a Belgian Liege proof “crown / PV in an oval”. The left side of the receiver, left side of the barrel shank, and the top of the bolt handle are each marked with a German “eagle / N” proof mark. Markings: The export mark on the left side of the receiver reads “GERMANY”.
